We’re pleased to report a 70 per cent increase in turnover year-on-year for the 12 months to August 31st, driven by significant growth in our contract filling business.
We turned over £1.72 million during our 2014/15 financial year, up from £1.014 million the year before; output was also up by 99% per cent compared to the previous year.
As a leading supplier of contracted packing services and speciality high-care manufacturing to the UK food industry, we assembled, filled and packed 2.77 million retail products in the 2014-15 year until August 31st across our three Nottinghamshire sites.
We’re also the UK’s largest producer of cold pressed seed oils and pressed almost 4820 tonnes of rapeseed in the 2014-15 year until August 31st, an increase of 130% increase on the the 2013-2014 figure of 2080 tonnes.
MD of Phoenix Group, Ben Guy, commented: “This year’s figures are a sign of just how far we’ve come as a business to date with another exceptionally strong year. We originally forecasted 50 per cent growth last year so to beat that by more than £200,000 is a great achievement for us all.
“We’ve done it by focusing on the strengths that set us apart from our competitors. We work as partners with our customers, increasingly offering full ‘end-to-end’ supply chain management in addition to packaging and high-care manufacturing services, and drawing on our expertise to make their whole production process smoother and more efficient.
“We’ve also changed the services we offer to suit the changing needs of our customers, moving into specialist high care manufacturing, growing our contract filling business and investing more than a quarter of a million pounds in state-of-the art machinery and infrastructure last year alone.”
These latest growth figures cover a year when we won new contract work from global brands like Vita Coco and up-and-coming SMEs like Moonshine Drinks, and follows our recent expansion into a second production facility.
